How Browser
Game Ports Work

A familiar game can take a very different path to your browser. Here’s what to look for.

Read our verification notes ↗
  1. Find the community project

Browse the index and open a guide. Each entry links back to its source.

  2. Check what you need

Look at file requirements, reported features and what has actually been tested.

  3. Load the project and get started

Open the original project from its guide. Follow the maintainer’s instructions; game files stay with the project.

What are browser game ports?

They adapt a game or its engine to run inside a web browser. Some are recreations; others need data from a copy you own. Check each project’s requirements before starting.

Are these games free to play?

A publicly accessible project is not a promise of a free full game. Some projects require original game files. We list known requirements and flag unknowns.

Will these games work on my phone?

Support varies by project, browser and device. A project’s claim of mobile support is listed separately from our own gameplay testing.

What does “Link reachable” mean?

The project page responded during our check. It does not prove that a game loads, runs correctly or has permission to distribute its assets.
